Brampton, discount viagra viagra ON June 28, discount viagra 2014: Ward 3 and 4 Regional Councillor & Mayoral Candidate John Sanderson stated that rather than offer financial management tips to Brampton after she stood by as billions of dollars in taxpayers’ money were wasted through the Ornge, E-Health, OLG, OPG, MaRs bailout and Gasplants scandals, Linda Jeffrey’s  time would be better spent trying to recoup the icestorm cleanup costs that the city faces after she ran away from Queen’s Park before the issue was fully settled.

“Despite billions of dollars wasted under Linda Jeffrey’s watch and the drama and distractions from our Mayor’s office, my council colleagues and I have been standing up for Brampton taxpayers. If a financial advisor came to me with Linda Jeffrey’s record of financial oversight, I would politely advise them to find a new line of work” stated Sanderson

The need for stronger financial planning, both strategic and from a long term financing perspective was identified as priority by Brampton taxpayers through the recent public consultation for the city’s recently approved Strategic Plan.

“This is about being fully transparent and accountable to the taxpayers. This is about taking complex municipal financing and being able to produce taxpayer friendly budget documents so they can see how and where their money is being invested,” added Sanderson.

In 2011 and again in 2013 Brampton ranked bottom of the list for accuracy in financial reporting by CD Howe.  This was raised by Councillor Elaine Moore and her Council colleagues as a huge red flag only to be dismissed by the Mayor, the Budget Chief and former administration. Linda Jeffrey said nothing and took no action in response despite pleadings from Councillors Sanderson and Moore, and despite being Minister of Municipal Affairs.

The goals and objectives, once identified and implemented in the recommendations with regard to balanced spending, debt management, multi-year budgeting and infrastructure maintenance should go a long way to improve Brampton’s rankings in subsequent CD Howe reports.

Brampton Councillors get it, they are listening to their taxpayers and are not just talking about accountability and transparency, they are taking appropriate action. Brampton residents know what Linda Jeffrey’s record is at Queen’s Park.  She ran away from one of the worst financial scandals in the history of governance in Ontario. Brampton residents deserve better,” stated Sanderson.

Brampton, best viagra buy viagra ON July 7, viagra 2014: Ward 3 and 4 Regional Councillor & Mayoral Candidate John Sanderson responded to Linda Jeffrey’s “transparency” announcement with astonishment stating that given her record at Queen’s Park and  her failure to represent the City’s interests at the Province, the former McGuinty Cabinet Minister has no credibility to address Brampton taxpayers about respect, openness, integrity and transparency.

“Not surprisingly, there is nothing new or innovative in my opponent’s announcement,” said Sanderson, “Our community does not need a ‘Minister Responsible for Brampton’. We need an actively involved Mayor who understands what has been going on over the past 10 years, what the residents have identified as issues and someone who will fight for the interests of Bramptonians. Given her record at Queen’s Park, she has consistently placed Brampton last,” stated Sanderson.

The former Minister said and did nothing despite knowing the results of the CD Howe report were a matter of great concern to Councillors Moore, Sanderson and others. Suddenly now it’s important to her?

“Just last week, my opponent criticized Council’s decision to hire a consultant to do a financial strategy. This week she says she would hire an external auditor. I wonder what her position will be next week?” added Sanderson.

The need for stronger financial planning, both strategic and from a long term financing perspective was identified as a priority by Brampton taxpayers through the recent public consultation for the city’s recently approved Strategic Plan.

The goals and objectives once identified and implemented in the recommendations with regard to balanced spending, debt management, multi-year budgeting and infrastructure maintenance should go a long way to improve Brampton’s rankings in subsequent CD Howe reports.

As for restoring the trust of Brampton residents, she has nothing to offer.  “I will focus my attention on accountability and transparency from the outset. My opponent will wait until 2016 to see if things are working properly. I will post all expenses from the Mayor’s office online every month as I currently do. She won’t. You will know where I am because I will also post my public schedule online. My challenger won’t. I will not accept a $50,000 a year limousine service. She will. I will reduce my salary to be in line with other municipal leaders in Ontario. My opponent won’t,” stated Sanderson

Contrary to her assertions, all monies in the city’s $700 million capital fund are fully accounted for, invested and earning interest. Delivery of projects, increased accountability and improved business practices means good news for the taxpayer. On the other hand, the only thing Ontario taxpayers have to show for the $1.1 billion wasted on the gas plant scandal is a video of the brand new construction being demolished.

“Brampton Councillors get it, they are listening to their taxpayers and are not just talking about accountability and transparency, they are taking appropriate action.
